Without Good Health, You've Got Nothing Going On. . .

If you don't have your HEALTH, you have nothing.

Health is the foundation for everything else in life, including relationships, career, and happiness.

Health should be our top priority however, in modern society career and money is more valued. People strive to get the promotion to earn more money, to have the lifestyle they think will make them happy. All the money in the bank means NOTHING, when you aren't feeling well. Without a basic level of well-being, other achievements and possessions lose their value and the ability to be enjoyed. Health is Wealth.

Without our health we are nothing. We strive for personal success often to the detriment of our health. We only really understand the value of health once we’ve had it and then lost it again. We take our health and our bodies for granted until we’re broken or in pain. We try to undo years of unhealthy habits often when it’s too little too late. We put other priorities ahead of our health.

I've learned how important health is and to not take it for granted. I don't know what I'm trying to get at but my perspective in life has changed.
I think we live in a world that puts too much emphasis on materialism. No amount of stuff can change your situation if you're not in good health. Being alive and living is what matters most.

My point? Without your health, nothing else matters.

We need to prioritize our health.

Without Good Health, You've Got Nothing Going On. . .

Never have more true words been said. For those that have been following me you may have noticed my absence this year. Literally saying, I was absent of all activities in my life this year.

This year, I've been plagued with migraines so severe, it makes looking at any screen (computer, tablet, iPhone) or to be in any light or noise place was impossible. My right temple throbs as if a screwdriver is forcing its way through my head. Intense Fibromyalgia flare-ups that put me away from my job for months and lost precious enjoyable time with my family. Many of the symptoms of fibromyalgia made it difficult to function from day to day, leading to significant stress and anxiety. The conditions and capacity were fluctuate from day to day, month to month. And to complete the situation menopause have been worse all the Fibromyalgia’s symptoms and also bringing me new symptoms. Between personal problems, work difficulties, and things outside of my control, there are so many different ways that stress can affect me. To say the truth, any small things have affected me this year.

I have been wildly blessed throughout my life, probably in no area more important than my mental health. Rather, I want to know about how physical pain and disability shape one’s sense of the value of one’s own life. Because one day I was feeling physically fine, with a few aches and pains like anyone my age has, and I was thinking I was living a great life full of blessings that I wanted to keep experiencing indefinitely. And the next day I was doubled over in pain, wondering if it was all worth it to go on.
I mean, is the value of existence so fragile that once the body stops cooperating, the whole game needs to be forfeited? If so, what of all these emotional and intellectual gymnastics we constantly perform to keep ourselves believing how sturdy and enduring our many blessings are and how they will carry us through the low points in life?

I am thinking of the many times that Fibromyalgia has kept me from doing the things I wanted to do. I have always been an active person, and I cannot stand to be inactive.

We all have good genetics and bad genetics. Most likely all of us will have adverse health issues at some point in time. So, what can you do about it?

Our health is our most valuable and precious asset and it is very important that we treasure it.
For some reason people seem to pay far more attention and take care of there most valuable possessions more than they pay attention and take care of their health?

This makes no sense to me as your health is more valuable than anything money can buy.

What Good Is Life Without Your Health?

I am almost half a century old, I can’t do so many of the things I once could due fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I can no longer hung out with people, get a full time job or go to crowded places. Bending over to stressful situations, over doing things or being a multi tasking person can take me out of commission for weeks. I cannot serve even half the speed I once could. Believe me, the list goes on!

But this year teaches me the most important lesson: Without health, life is not life.

We must value our health because no one else will take the most care of it other than ourselves. If you’re young and reading this, you’re in luck or maybe you’re older, don’t worry, you still have time to look after yourself. Starting early is key. Being aware of posture, get regular exercise and have a balanced diet. These are all beneficial for a healthier and happier life.
